Kids and Glasses

My nephew, Simeon, who is only twenty months old had to get glasses. He picked them up this Tuesday, and he's been pretty excited about it all...because he can actually see now. Riley and Tara had noticed that he was 'inspecting' things rather closely when he would pick them up and was squinting a lot, so they took him to the eye doctor. Come to find out he's a -10...therefore legally blind, but can be corrected with glasses to the point where he can see. When they first took him to get his eyes checked and realized that he was unable to see, they put a pair of Tara's glasses on him when he got home. Simeon walked around saying 'wow' and looking at everything. Needless to say he didn't want to give the glasses up. But now he has his own glasses...and they make him really cute (I think). In the picture up to the left he's enjoying his first happy meal with his new glasses on.

You're right - he is adorable!! And I'm glad he can see now - I'm sure there's a big new world out there for him that he didn't even know was there!

I didn't know if I was being to partial or not...but I do think my brother produced some adorable kids.
He loves his new world...he is Speedy Gonzales now that he can see where he's going.
